Hello everyone, well i found a curiosity in a thriftstore. It's a timeclock where you would clock out or in at a factory. Does anyone know how old it is??
It says Andriessen Helmond. Helmond is about 10k from where I live. I am not familiar with the maker Andriessen though. Hunt also lives in the Netherlands.
This is the one: https://andriessengraveertechniek.nl/ "Een veelzijdig bedrijf al ruim 50 jaar aan ervaring.Beletteringen, gevelreclame's, bewegwijzeringen, postkasten, bellentableaus naam en typeplaten etc.." You could contact them and ask if they have information in their archives: andriessenatelier@bbhmail.nl
You're not the only one. It can be difficult to chose the right forum. I am no expert, but it looks 1960s to me.
The time clock was manufactured by Bürk, a German company. Andriessen Graveertechniek is a screenprinter, among other things. It's more likely they printed the dial. According to the Andriessen web site, they have "over 50 years of experience" so that provides you with an earliest estimated date. Here's information on Bürk. https://clockdoc.org/Default.aspx?aid=417 Debora
That simulated hammered blue finish was very popular in the 1960s. Hammerite was a brand of finish used a lot.
Here's information on Bürk. You'll have to run it through Google Translate if you don't read German. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Württembergische_Uhrenfabrik_Bürk Debora
Here's a 1973 photograph of a Bürk time clock in use. The logo and dial appear to be very similar to those on your (smaller) clock. Debora
The eBay seller of this Bürk wall clock dates it to the 1960s. Notice the evolution of the logo which supports your clock being earlier. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1445054102...oF5/7h11gm4Ph8FvRpj11AeQ==|tkp:Bk9SR_THw-i6Yw Debora
The only thing i don't understand is where they insert the card, because there is no apature in the lid of the box cover??
