Featured NOW what have I bought! Weird mesh bracelet and necklace

Memo to self. Stop buying stuff because it intrigues you. Ain't gonna happen though.

This is a rather nice set, even with two missing glass cabouchons. The mesh is metal, The bracelet clasp took me a good ten minutes to work out: one of the cabs is on a stalk and fits the tongue clasp.

Obviously some age, but who? Haskell?

 

Could be inspired by 18th century mesh bracelets.

 

That’s a thought. It’s very well made.

 

I did wonder. Her stuff isn’t often found over here and I’m not that familiar with it.

 

NO ONE was ever going to talk you out of buying this piece!! It screams OBB!!


Of course, I would have bought it also just because it looks like it was very well made.

I’ll have a damn good try, Peggy. It’s still wearable, I’m not precious about the odd imperfection on old things. I feel a hoard rummage coming on.
