chinese/japanese pottery mark

a nice chinese or japanese i think studio charger/plate came up on ebay at a reasonable not cheap as chips price

i've tried google searching the plate and the mark but no matches at all

anyone have an idea on the mark (long shot i know)

any help appreciated

Looks a bit like 永乐 (Yongle)

 

Agree, first character almost certainly correct, could also be 永术 Yongshu (in Chinese) eternal in Japanese.

Could be either Japanese or Chinese, need to see the whole item to make a judgement.

 

Could it be anything to do with Mon shou longevity wares?

 

Marote is correct: 永乐 ("eternal happiness"). While these characters are the same as those for the reign of the Chinese Yongle Emperor, they are not here a real reign mark. Reign marks include other characters, such as "year" and "made." Also, the second character, le, is in simplified form, not traditional form, indicating that this was made in modern times. It could be the artist's name (just by coincidence the same as the name of the Yongle reign) or it could be an expression of the artist's wish for "eternal happiness."
