Minton "Woodseat" plate ID'd, but a color I can't find anywhere!

I bought this gorgeous plate at my local Goodwill, thinking it was a contemporary piece. The colors and the pattern are totally my style, and for $1.99, it was a no brainer to buy. When I got home, I realized it was stamped on the back, and after googling, I see that this is called the Woodseat pattern. Now, based on the stamps on the back, it's from 1878. However, when I look for this particular color (it's a very pale greenish turquoise/celadon), I cannot find anything. I see many pieces with a white and red color scheme, but nothing with this color.
Unfortunately my camera did not accurately capture the color, but I did take a picture of it next to a white plate to show the difference.
Does anyone have Minton resources that might be helpful? I did find a link to the stamp guide. I'm just so curious about this plate and the color, I would love to know more. IMG_7106.jpeg IMG_7107.jpeg IMG_7108.jpeg IMG_7110.jpeg

According to various sites, Minton marked the pieces with Mintons from 1873 onwards, and other 1878 plates do indeed have 'Mintons' and not 'Minton'
I didn't find any information on the stamped 4 and 7

Interesting! I wonder what the deal is with this, then. So, it has the stamp for that year, but the company stamp is wrong. It's definitely older as I examine it more closely. Would they have had a revival era? I don't think this is a pattern people would have been interested in counterfeiting... Finding old things when thrifting is fun, but also extremely frustrating when it comes to identifying or getting more info. Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter since I'm keeping it.

Also frustrating, is thinking you have found a similar plate with Google just now, and then seeing that it is the link to this page

The other plates also have a patern on the border and around the center

I wonder what the ceramics Sherlocks of this site have to say about this :pompous:

Oh no!!! Sorry to have inadvertently muddled the search results.
I emailed an auction house in the UK that seems to specialize in Minton. Will update if they give me any new info

My first reply to this post was going to be a pic with the Minton year cyphers and the info that it was for 1878. Just before posting the reply I re-read the post and saw that it already included that info

Such things are just a guide and cover the most common occurrence. There are always 'out of time' examples, errors, mis labelling etc. I would go with the year cipher as being likely the most accurate for this.

Thank you. I was wondering if it could be something like that. I'm new to all of this, but I'm a quick study and love researching. What's so odd about this is that I cannot find any examples of this color/detail online. I wonder if it was a sample or something? I've emailed a couple firms in the UK, one of which was not interested. Haven't heard back from the other.

I find it so funny that I picked this up, solely based on aesthetics, and now I'm obsessed with finding the provenance... why is my brain like this?! LOL

remember....the internet is not the world....someone somewhere has to upload a photo of the item first , before any search can even find it , and even then the keywords have to match !;)

Yes. That is exactly why I'm curious. Where are the others!??!? I also feel frustrated that search results tend to heavily favor/promote shopping sites, not information... gotta monetize as much as possible. Or perhaps since I'm on the West Coast, the UK based sites aren't getting prioritized?

Ahhh, & now u touch on the truth that is todays social media....
Privately owned companies , or business with shareholders ....are in the game to make profits.
The ' others' as your plate....may be found in catalogs , or may be in the hands of folks with no desire or reason to upload pics to the web...
Older plates.....may have been destroyed or in someones attic......still waiting to be found.

It's possible you have an item that hasn't been seen in 40 years......
    & in 1984......well the web......wasn't !
