Featured Art Pottery Bowl Japanese?

    This art pottery bowl is 29cm in diameter and wafer thin terracotta. I’m thinking Japanese but would welcome ideas. I’ve tried to enhance the signature. It has a collector’s or museum style number sticker.

    I get 28 'petals'...fwiw. Sweet slab o' clay!

    I've seen this type of clay used in Banko ware before. First character is 几 (ki - table), can't make out the rest, sorry. Could well be Japanese, it has a 3rd qtr 20th century vibe, but I suspect it may be earlier than it looks, perhaps even 19th C
