How fast a decade has flown by ! "Refugees from the ebay boards" indeed ! Its been a grand decade. Ive learned SO much ! Its been humbling in a way. But a good way. Weve lost a few very wonderful folks along the way,but they are still with us in our hearts. A big thank you to our mods and all the members who make this a special place in a sea of mediocrity .

 

Who is Peter again? I’ll say that by far since I entered the world of dealing in old things and reignited my passion for collecting this has been my most valuable resource. Without it I’d know half of what I do and have nowhere to turn when I have questions. I tried the Reddit antiques sub for a while but there’s nowhere near the knowledge there and it wasn’t a very hospitable place. This board has been a great place to learn, get help, and “spend time with” like minded individuals. I’m quite thankful for this site.

Under the Members link at the top of the screen there is a tab called Staff Members. Peter is listed there. He very rarely posts here. Daveydempsey has communicated with him if there is a need on this site that Peter needs to address. He is the administrator and owner of the site, but is not a moderator.

By the way, if you do go to the Staff Members list, you will see 42Skeezix there. He was one of the original moderators who passed away some years ago. He was well liked here... I believe he was kept on the list as a sort of memorial.

 

This is "home" to me. I count a boatload of members good friends and find I wander here whenever I have time to spare. Christmas is all the more special when the Secret Santa threads pop up. And my birthday would not be as special if Komo was not being the birthday boss. I have a wish list of places and people I'd love to visit and of course, shop!

Thanks to Peter and all the mods for keeping the show running smoothly. I'd go nuts without y'all!

I am late to this, but yes, a big thank you to the mods and for the creation of this site. So many great people here and interesting chatter. Learning things and making funnies. Reading posts here has helped me forget my troubles for at least a few moments of a day and that helps so much now.
To another decade of all of us meeting and greeting each other.

 

A wonderful place where you can get help when your stumped or help (sometimes) if you know. A massive thank you to all behind it and anyone who comes on to help others.

 

Very glad the site exists, I would miss it terribly.
The knowledge here has helped me find items to sell to get me to retirement. Still love finding things though, unable to stop completely.
