Featured Cool biplane on this 1912 Outdoor Life magazine cover

    I am listing a bunch of old Outdoor Life magazines. I think this 1912 cover is pretty neat with the ram looking up at the biplane. Planes were still a pretty rare sight at that time.

    I wonder if anyone would have really flown over that area in a plane like that? They're just sitting in between the wings - no cockpit. Not that one would help if they crashed.

    It looks like it has skis on it for landing on water maybe? Looks like it has no propeller either as if it was a glider, but even they have a cockpit. Probably just the product of someone's imagination.
