Featured Any thoughts on the signature on this French vase?

    This 30cm (about 1ft) tall vase was a car boot sale find today. It is impressed DECOR MAIN or “hand decorated” plus an incised number.

    it is hand painted in a style that I would imagine dates to the 1960s . It is signed S.Gort? Or maybe Gert perhaps. Whilst it has a slightly Nordic look I can only think that Decor Main indicates France.

    Any thoughts on its origin?

    I solved it. It is Jacqueline Gelb Vallauris

    Although sellers are saying Vallauris on eBay and Etsy, she actually worked from Villefranche Sur Mer from the 1950s onwards.
