~9 3/8" high, ~4" diameter at the shoulder, 3/4" throat, ~2 3/8 diameter base; weight ~32 ounces. The body shows the slightest hint of being coil-built; the upper end, except for the applied ring-grip, looks to have been mold-formed outside, but the inside of the throat shows hand (finger) work.
I've had this for ages...but today I first noticed that almost the entire body surface is covered in almost completely illegible writing! Some of it may be seen in pics 3, 4, 5, an' 6. Under UV those words disappear...no help there.
I believe if it were in the hands of any of y'all with demonstrated cleverness in enhancing images, those words an' figures could be teased out; but such ain't the case with my skills or equipment, so I am really stumped. Can you say, based on what can be seen in my pics along with my meager descriptions, where it may have been made, an' roughly when? I can only hope. Thanks for lookin'!

Thanks, RT...I gotta wonder about folks tryin' to sell stuff with no more description than a few pics.

Whit-Do any of your kids or friends have higher quality photographic equipment,or could you or your son possibly write out a line or two of this inscription so that we might take a stab at the poss language/meaning ?
I def see the lighter script.
@Aquitaine should be able to bring out the symbols.

If someone has a photo editor that can turn Whitt's pictures into "negatives", I bet that writing would pop right out.

I used to be able to do that with IrfanView, but I don't have a desktop running on Windows anymore and it's never made a version for Android.

What little I can read is in English...so I'll risk assuming all of it is.
Nobody in my circle uses anything but their 'phone for pics, an' damn few of those. Seems to be that 'real' cameras are not particularly useful to the younger folks.
I like the idea of creating negatives, seems like that might be a solution.

These are marked in a close style ...

Agreed RT...save for the color. Mine isn't maker-marked, that I can find. Thanks!

It's a Portuguese rose or vinho verde bottle. I had one, bought it I think in the eighties, full of wine. Still sold too.
