Help with ID please

    To me the workmanship doesn’t seem great. I don’t know for certain what it is made of, guessing pewter, and obviously it has seen better days. The only mark is a WX or XM scratched in the bottom. Thanks.

    Looks German to me. But that doesn't mean I'm correct.
    A picture of the mark may help someone.

    Wait for others to comment. May take all day as people come and go from all over the globe. Be sure to check back tomorrow.
