Two Old Looking Stone Sculptures

    These looked authentic and were not that expensive but just didn't feel like buying them. They were about $30 each.

    I guess I just wasn't feeling that lucky, and it seems without expert knowledge a lot of buys are just luck.

    They are both under 1 foot tall.

    Thoughts?

    These types of sculptures were made in the 1960s-1970s with the advent of mass tourism. Sometimes they're replicas; sometimes they're just Medieval-inspired. Madonna & Child (obviously) and St. Paul.

    They were still made in the 80s and 90s. In France, at least.

    Most of us just cannot find Medieval stuff in antique malls anymore.

    What is this world coming to?
