    Van Houten was in business from 1815.
    In 1828 Casparus van Houten Sr patented his method of removing fat/butter from the roasted cocoa beans (in order to make cocoa powder). Before that van Houten produced cocoa paste, so with the butter.

    Van Houten.;) Easy mistake to make, but Dutch people are a bit sensitive about being called German, or turning the Dutch 'van' into the German 'von'.:inpain: (Don't mention the war.:D)
