Adjustable Rasp like Tool

    The guy I bought this from said he did a google lens search on it and found it was some type of old automobile part, but I was unable to get anything like that to turn up. What I did find was Horse Tooth Rasps that had a similar shape. Its adjustable, being able to set it into 3 positions.
    Measures 6 1/4 inches long. Ribbed part measures 3 inches long.
    Can't see why you'd need to adjust and lock position for a dental rasp, so i'm thinking it's something else.
