How did you acquire them? What were you told about them?

They don't seem to be as thin-walled as usual, however, I am no expert.

All of them were purchased from a NY dealer with COA. I have those and will post them. The green ones were thought to be 1st to 3rd century. Thr darker one was later. They also have some examples in publications referenced that look similar..... I can find those too

I just went to that website and I feel dirty for having visited. Pretty sure I just picked up a couple viruses and trackers. I didn’t go past the homepage but it felt like scam-o-rama to me. If I was a collector and that was literally the last place on earth to buy from I’d just stop collecting.

Hopefully I’m very wrong. I did zero due diligence, just a gut feeling. I’d venture to guess the coa’s aren’t worth the paper they are printed on though. The glass looks reasonable to me but I only know enough to get myself in trouble. I handle a lot of things that come out of the ground as a metal detrctorist so I’d like to think if I had them in hand I could tell if they looked legit or had an applied patina. However I handle things hundred of years old, not thousands. I’ve had a few pieces of Roman glass that I trusted the source in but they are all long ago sold.

The green ones are rather thin. Especially the one without the handle. Seems extremely fragile.
The cubic shaped one has a little more weight...

None are Roman , imo. That first dark coloured squared off one has very artificial patina, which has been applied. And why would the handle be clean.

The ball and cone shaped little vase isn’t a Roman shape, and almost looks as though it has a safety rim. There’s no real wear on the edge, and it’s far too even. I think it’s trying to be Byzantine maybe,

the last little jug is way too thick. And they’re all way too thick. Patina is too even and that handle is very badly applied. A little Roman flask would have a delicate slender handle.

Roman glass was nicely made. It’s usually quite thin. And they were careful to get symmetry.

These might be nineteenth century copies, but my gut feel is they’re much later.

Or it is trying to be Syrian, shapewise. But antique Syrian glass is also much more thin and delicate than this.
