What a pretty vase...it is hand blown. Looks like Murano glass. I believe they call this "end of day glass".
These look too shiny to be bakelite...maybe glass. The clasp looks awfully new, probably a newer necklace.

I agree...that is the chased design showing through. I am going to give the inside of the base a scrub down to see if I can find any marks.
