There's one interesting difference: in the print, Ishmael is looking back at Isaac, not leading on.
With Fig's info, I think it does say A. van Dyck where one would expect to see the artist's name.
I was trying to read the title on the print and was only getting as far as "Hagar and her Son".
Great find, Simona. Information about the artist is there at the bottom of the picture, if we could only make it legible. [ATTACH]
Just for reference, this is the sacrifice of Isaac: [ATTACH]

Note the crazing to the material. Wood may crack, but it does not craze that way. The background is also some early polymer.
What she said. First could be 40s. Despite the retro mount, MOP Athena looks 50s to my eyes.
Sounds like you two should pool your interests & resources on American cameists for your mutual enjoyment.

It actually looks quite a lot like Incolay. I'm not aware of their having made ashtrays, but there were other companies that tried to copy them....
I'd settle for the Aurora that was shown more completely in the other thread. [ATTACH] Quite a good Asklepios too.
Welcome, Tara. Don't let me do all the talking; say hello & feel free to add to the thread.
