I found this but haven't bought it. Could it be ivory and if so is it illegal here?[ATTACH]
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] It's been listed for £200. Can anyone tell me more about it. She mentions it's 18ct gold but I don't see any hallmarks on it.
Yes I will post them when I can get pictures next week or tomorrow :) thank you....
I read an article it is illegal to sell unmarked gold as gold. I'm not sure if this is law in the UK though I need to check. thank you @Any Jewelry
So my grandmother who passed away two years ago at the age of 97 initially moved to Nairobi from India probably in the 30s I'm not entirely sure....
It feels cold to touch, I have no idea what this means :)
Thank you @Any Jewelry I thought it was a carnelian... I got this from Vinted for about £16 including shipping. I think its one of my favourites.
Haha, thanks for this info, I've seen several misspellings of this name so wasn't sure.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Then discovered its by Viggo Wolney, but it doesn't say fammik on the brooch backing... it looks more vintage than antique to...
I'll pass, but thought it was interesting anyway, thank you for the response.
It looks a little green to me on the insides, so I assume it's not gold.

I haven't bought it but she says there's no hallmarks. Still it looks interesting. Outer part is rose gold colour while the inner part is gold....
Sorry. I wasn't aware of this.
Sorry yes it's called watch count
I agree with the prices on 1stdibs... I just found a website that I can use to find similar items previously sold. Thank you @Debora
Thanks , any idea on what website I could use as a more reliable source.
Let's say, for example, this brooch:...

She didn't accept my offer but she's asking £30 as a fixed price. I will go for it. Thank you.
