Paid AU$160 for this ornate large and quite heavy Amphora
vase that appears to have been made sometime between
1918-1939 based on the stamp. What do you think. Have I
done my dough or is there a few bucks left for re-sale??

OK. You probably know the auction house sales for European porcelain over here (Aus) is dead, so online auctions will probably be the better way to go.. will need lots of bubble for those crunchy flowers ...regards...pewter2

Maybe a little room if in great condition. The fragility of this scares me .....

I like it, but you couldn't pay me enough to ship it; the American postal service would smash it to smithereens.

    Hi Stephen,
Given the market in Sydney, I think you paid a lot for the item but I also watched Lladro figures sell way way over their estimate last weekend at a popular auction house. It gives me hope you still have some room for a small resale profit in a specialist sale. But take your own research and item details printed out to the auction house. I am finding inaccurate descriptions, lack of research and contradictory details in many catalogue items at the moment. It's almost profit over accuracy! :( Good luck.

Lladro? Can hardly raise $25 for a piece here.

Fortunately, the Aussie market is different from the American one. Fortunately for anyone there with porcelain to sell at least.
