123 year old badge - valuation

hi folks,

My neighbour asked me to assist with valuing / selling a badge. I don’t really know where to start, he’s an elderly gentleman.

The badge is made in the USA, 1896 by Lead Hall. There is a picture of an angry women holding a broom, the badge states - I’m afraid of my wife..

He has an abundance of antiques and he’s been quoted communist rates of 35% plus vat. Is this the going rate?

Any advice will be appreciated..

Is that a typo or is it a communist or other thing I'm not aware of? Communists here are usually not that capitalist.

Most of us don't click on external links. You can post your photos in the thread. It is explained in the link 'i need help' posted.

 

Can’t resize it on my iPhone. Will have to wait until I get on my laptop.

I have an iphone and I use the email method. I use the original email app that came with the phone, not another email app (not a gmail app, for instance).
Attach the photos to your email. Touch SEND and a pop-up box with ask what size you want the sent photos. Touch MEDIUM.
Go to your inbox and open the email of photos you just sent your self. View each photo and save each one. They will get placed in your gallery. Then, when you post here on the forum, use those photos.
