1854 watch suspension clip.

    The only piece of jewellery found.

    Probably 9 carat gold, unmarked, about 5 grams and 2 inches long, at one end there is a snap clasp, possibly for a lady's pocket watch. Dated gift inscription on the reverse,

    af, if it's mid 19th, I'd have thought a higher carat.
