1891 Signed Pottery Pitcher or Ewer. Studio or Home Made?

    This is my favorite find this week! Got this with the repaired ewer/pitcher and "ming" thing all found in one box lot at a local auction. It was a good week for picking!

    Anyway, this is dated July 12, 1891. I can't make out most of the writing on the bottom except for "Decorated by" and the date at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated!

    The upper part is also something by, followed by a name. The surname looks the same for both TH & BA Gold?

    Use some baking soda or corn starch lightly rubbed into the lettering, to see what letters might stand out.

    I think it's something like Caldwell, then Aug. for the date.
