Do you think these are desirable and rare or common
and what kind of frames do you think would compliment them?

The Victoria & Albert museum has some of the same series (which is a convenient source of information.. well, names mostly):

    Here are mine:

    Edit:

    Found something similar on Ebay

    and here's a reproduction print:

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

MOS, it knew it was having its picture taken.

I think you have a couple of nice items there, Mr. Blue. Given the rarity and the fact they are treasured by the museum, I think that's a reasonable price on eBay; will be interesting to see the results. I find the subject matter to be nice and simple, elegant. I would think that a furniture expert/afficionado, interior designer, or related to such, would really like them in an office. I think it would be GREAT if you could get a frame that mimics the furniture style! Probably in black or gray?

No no no no. I'm not selling them. I've been holding onto them like a woodpecker to a treetrunk since I bought them many months ago.
They've been sitting around without frames and I'm scared that they might get more damaged.

I wanted to find nice antique frames for them, but I think it might be time to give up and just get them put into simple black frames, new ones, that is.

I don't think you could go wrong with a simple black one, absolutely.

I located them below the sconces around the doorway leading to the hallway
Not the best thing in the world, but it'll have to do.. for now. At least I didn't add any more holes to the walls, so the pictures are easy to move elsewhere if necessary (I hung them off of metallic wire that's attached to the same hooks the sconces are).

(don't mind the clumsy-looking painted frame around the doorway.. that was a 0-budget solution..)

Also, the setting is symmetrical but doesn't look that way in the picture.

I really need to do something to that doorway frame..
