this seems to be a rather limited book. I cannot find any info on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There appears to be a web site dedicated to it (which, if you don't speak German, you'll have to run through Google Translate.)

    From Wikipedia:

Fidus was the pseudonym used by German illustrator, painter and publisher Hugo Reinhold Karl Johann Höppener (October 8, 1868 – February 23, 1948). He was a symbolist artist, whose work directly influenced the psychedelic style of graphic design of the late 1960s.

Fidus was one of the best known illustrators around 1890s to 1914. he also worked for the magazine JUGEND that gave the name to the Jugendstil.
rather on the left before the war - anarcho-syndicalist, homosexual "marriage" etc. - he went astray and even met the Nazi party in the end.
to test the rarity it's goo to check the German market on ZVAB.com.
this here is already rare by the printing house. certainly an interesting item which could well bring over 200 to 300 although the state seems to be used.

the first one on offer by Libelle in my hometown has extras with it. letter by Fidus to the person that is mentioned on the ex libris. so price seems justified if bought as a Fidus/Jugendstil adorer or as an investment for later. for resale on arse-on or eboo rather too pricey and not well-known enough even in German-speaking countries.
