Looks like skeet to me; the posse wouldn't have been standing on a wooden board in the middle of a field.

ya but normal citizens on patrol wouldn't have that kind of hardware. if i was there i would want a pick of me and my boys and the pic could be before , during ,but i don't see any bullet holes so i'm not going with after lol ,my dad has a picture from the 30's of his uncles black and white everyone looks like gangsters around the family gangster car lol

OP's photo has to be a group of sportsmen- they all have shotguns and all are long-barreled types used primarily for hunting birds. Car does match by coincidence but as already mentioned, lacks the bullet-riddled windshield.

The cars are '34 fords, pretty common back then. ( not today, prime hot rod material.

Much too early to be Jimmy Hoffa's escorts. But I wouldn't doubt a similar party. That's a 1933 Ford next to an older sedan.

Look at the horn on the right side of the grill. I think such things were options and with that I think could be B&C's. What is on the passenger side though????
They may have been a certain force which carried shotguns...

She wasn't too pretty after those windshield shots. :p

If this is such a photo it could be quite valuable no?

that picture looks awfully familiar and if it's already documented then it won't be worth as much but i'm sure it would still be up there in price range .more than likely it is just what springfld says they were pumping these cars out and they all pretty much look the same . you have some investigating ahead lol. when there's a price on your head everyones out to collect.
