Featured 1936 Berlín Olympics Games Band

Hi, first of all sorry if this post doesn’t belong here, didn’t have clear where to post it.
I have this Band from the 1936 olympics games, it belonged to my mother grandfather, who represented uruguay in rowing at the games.
I tried to search for information and until now I haven’t found anything about it, i guess it isn’t common?
If anyone has any info about it, it would be nice!

This is not my specialty, but I think the band is very interesting, especially given the unusual circumstances of the 1936 Olympics.

Uruguayans were not medalists in rowing (Argentina took a bronze).

Geez Louise! There's tons of 1936 Olympics related stuff out there, but can't find this. The principal logo was the Brandenburg Gate with Olympic rings. The state eagle with Olympic rings does occur on ID cards (Olympia Ausweis), so I wonder if that's what would have been on the end of this. But don't see it online.

Would it be called a lanyard?

It's quite an elaborate construction - high quality. Might it have been used as a barrier to block off a section of VIP seating? Now I wonder about the clip on the end: that wire ring holding it in place is inconsistent with the rest of the piece. Is there a bent loop at the top of the eagle's head?

I suspect whatever it is, it's going to have some value.

In my opinion that is a commemorative flag streamer. Probably given to the participating nations to attach to their team flags.

The attached photo shows flags with streamers as example how they were used.
