1970's Mexican Duck: Mandarin?

    Hello,

    I found this handsome fellow in a resale shop. My research shows that he was made in Mexico in the 1970s. A google search for, "ceramic brass duck" comes up with many examples of this piece, however, what I find unique is the extra head feathers, It reminds me of a Chinese duck dropper, though this piece is clearly not that.

    Any and all opinions on weather this piece is unique is greatly appreciated!
