19th Century Spoon?

    I found this spoon metal detecting yesterday, I am not sure what it is made out of, but it does have the remains of a maker name on the back. Any possible information on the material or age of the spoon would be helpful:

    The handle looks like any one of many 20th century patterns, mostly made in silverplate. 30's would be my guess, although it could be slightly older or more recent, but definitely not 19th century.

    It's worth about what you paid for it, is my guess, but it would look cool in a diorama or shadowbox with a bunch of other excavated bits.
