They look like Polish souvenirs. Polish knights used to wear those wonderful wings.

Found one, it is a Polish hussar.

I remember seeing Polish suits of armour in an exhibition celebrating the Battle of Vienna, 1683, in which the Turks were defeated. I was very impressed by the wings.

In 1683 the allied European armies were having trouble pushing back the Turks, who had been conquering ever more of Europe. When all seemed lost, the Polish army finally came to the rescue, wings and all, and Vienna was saved.
The Turks probably didn't know what hit them, being defeated by these mythical looking hussars.

Kurosawa would have made a magnificent movie of it all.
