Would you be kind enough to post complete photographs of the front and back of each work along with close up photographs of the signatures? And please post them as Full Images when you do so. That said... The one with seated figures is a souvenir from Cuzco, Peru.

Hi Debora- I try to upload these pictures as full but the site says they are too large :( and I know they for some reason come in sideways. I have to figure it out. If you see my first post they should have the pictures front and back (unfortunately sideways)

How can you determine that it’s a souvenir?

To put it politely... Your photographs are crazy-making. I can barely look at them without getting dizzy but... From what I can see... It's a watercolor of indigenous Andean people. Below them is a signature, date and the word "Cusco," which is, of course, a major tourist destination. Someone took a little trip.

The South American one may have come from Peru, but the clothing (the hats in particular) look Bolivian.

Bolivian hats look like small bowler hats, with a round top.
The Peruvian Andes region has a variety of hats, a legacy of Inca legislation that every municipality should have its own style hat, so its inhabitants could be recognized wherever they were. Maybe something to do with taxes for strangers, the Inca Empire was highly organized and very bureaucratic.

These particular hats are not from Cuzco itself, but the scene would be from a Cuzco market, where women from surrounding towns and villages sell their wares. The women from one location usually group together in the market place.
You see a nice variety of hats as you walk through the market.:)

They were felt hats in Peru too.

The other is of doves. A popular design motif in Latin America. Name appears to read "Vasquez." I would suspect another souvenir.

Yes, and other materials. They are in the links I posted, but I couldn't find these exact hats, which could be slightly stylised.
