2 Old w/oriental stamps horse prints? paper? pencil?

I found these today thrifting. I thought they were prints but they do remind me of antique "shadow" art of portrait'/heads all in black? - If you look at the last photo I took a close up of part of a horse; there is a 'clean' outline & then the paper? looks like it has a light shadowing by pencil covering paper?
Can someone tell me about these? I know they have some age because the gallery (can't find it anymore either) info on back has a phone number with no area code.
Are these old? Special?

Sorry - here is close up where it looks like a white trim around edge of horse's body/leg & then paper shadowed? in or darker?

The seller of these didn't list the artist. Probably unknown who did these
