ok I know the pictures of the paintings themselves are not that good. This house is jam packed and poorly lit. But I have the paperwork unfortunately bought in Budapest so I think this is all in Hungarian. Can anyone translate
    TIA, Bryan

Although you have all the papers, which is good, Id try to find out what the forint was in dollars in those years to give you a first idea.
I know from personal relatives that ALL paintings were looked at first before export was allowed, but only if of no interest to hungarian museums. So practically all paintings were third layer or below.
are there any remarks or even seals on the back ?

    Hi Bryan,
Can't help with the translation, but I do love the frames. Any idea on the age of the paintings?

will get pictures of the back, but it will be a few days. I know the portrait has some German stamp on back I think the scene only has writing in pencil

Kellermeister (cellar master) original Kolb. plus linen cloth looking new.
makes me think it's a copy from the era when bought.

Never judge a book on his cover. The stretchers look older than the canvas. It could have been relined with other canvas to the back in a later. They did and still do this today with old paintings.

I’m just curious as to when these paintings are trying to represent they were done?

I,m no language expert but I would think that “Kellermeister” is German ?

No expert here but my first thought when scrolling down was that they looked newer. Paint is so vibrant on first one. Hope I’m wrong.
