Featured 2 Pieces Of Cased Glass

    Need some help trying to identify these pieces of glass. Thanks


    1. Small ashtray, smooth polished base. Measures 4" wide and is 1 3/4" deep.


    2. Wine goblet, measures 9" tall and is 2 3/4" wide.

    First one looks like Murano,second one looks new to me.

    Ashtray is almost certainly Japanese.

    Can you expound on that ? Id have sworn murano ,broaden my horizons please. :)

    It's the shape, style and colour. ;) That triangular milk glass with a blurred colour lining is typical, so is the wee tongue thingie. Likewise that fat rounded and polished bottom to it.

    You're both welcome. I got a bit into Japanese glass a while back - partly because it got so misattributed. There's a look to it, as I say, sort of blurry with a lot of white. Not the crispness of Murano colourings. I rather like it.
