Have 2 plates I need some help with. The first is porcelain and is Japanese I believe, measures 8 7/8" in diameter. the second is stoneware and hs a mark on the back of a star with the letters LS inside. measures 9" in diameter.

The Japanese mark is upside down; I think it says Kyokuzan.
