indiapainting4.JPG indiapainting2.JPG sigindia.JPG I found a fairly large very colorful gouache painting that appears to be an Indian scene. It's signed a dated 1976, it's framed in Hong Kong by Man Fong framers. Does anyone recognize the artist?

Pleasant scene. I'm pretty sure that's a mosque, though, so perhaps Pakistan? I can't make a better guess on the signature.

That's what I thought, her clothing also seems Muslim, although it is difficult to see.

Not Ragamala or Mogul, this one is a naive modern style. Very attractive.
I agree, day and night, well spotted.:)

Thanks for the info. The minaret, mosque and woman's attire seems now to be leading me toward Turkey as a possibly origin.

The architecture and dress are Pakistan or Muslim India, not Turkish.
