I'm thankful about any thoughts about this piece. Age, maker, style, etc.

    The carafe is about 24cm high. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Nice pitcher....I'd like to try painting with 22 K gold someday....when I'm too rich to worry about dripping any on the table....:)

I believe that McCoy pottery was the one that used the term Weeping Gold for this treatment. A lot of people now use the term to describe this ware.

McCoy was not the only company to use this decoration, but it's late and I can't think of the others at the moment.

Time period I believe is 1950s-60s. You need to double check that.

    Hi,
Thanks for the memory. My Aunt and Uncle had their 50th wedding anniversary in 1960 and they got 10 or 12 pieces of "Weeping Gold" as presents.

Did Stangl do a gold treatment like that?

Backing Greg, no on Stangl. Their thing was Antique Gold. A thin brushed treatment not like weeping gold at all.
