    @bosko69
    All are plain postcard backed; the maker's info is on the envelope. Each pic is numbered, 1-22, but my shots are not in numerical sequence. Some of the titles can be read...an' I'll furnish an ordered list of these, with titles in the order shown, on demand. I'm guessing 1920's to '40's, but without high confidence. Thanks for lookin'!

    I assume that last line was only added after Cross's death in 1940, meaning your set is from the 1930s.

    Teamwork :)
    Kronos's (very useful) link helped narrowing it down to 1 decade, as I was going to reply that it was somewhere between 1920 and 1940.

    I know all them places!

    There's more trees now, even with the big fire in the gorge in 2017.

    The fish wheel in picture 14 as you've arranged them-- the one in front of Beacon Rock-- is illegal now. Too effective!

    Beacon Rock was named by Lewis and Clark. It was the first place that they measured tidal fluctuations in the Columbia's flow, and so knew they were getting close. Today you can climb to near the very top on a trail with some dizzying steps bolted into the rock.

    Ok, I'll stop now.

    No need to stop, Pottery. Local knowledge is just as precious and interesting as knowledge about world events.

    Woody Guthrie was out that way around 1941,where he wrote 'Roll On Columbia' in association w/ a WPA project involving Bonneville Power Administration.
