GaleriaGila, yes when I said painted, i meant fired on like a ceramic glaze. There are a couple of scratches on the base where the blue is gone and the clear glass shows through.

The first piece I actually found a Blenko 2004 signature on this morning when I held it up to the light. The 2004 was very clear. the Blenko was at the right angle.

The only place I have been able to locate this shape was in the 2003 & 2004 catalogs. The bowl in the catalog, is the right design but is a little bigger siameter than mine,11" compared to 9". It also shows these being two color and not crackle glass. Is it possible they made variations of the original design?

I can say that not all pieces seem to make it into catalogs. And I've found different versions of catalogs for the same year, which had different pieces in them. While I'm not sure if it's catalog number is 5103 since the size is different. However, I do think it is Blenko. I had gotten a Blenko vibe from it when I saw it and had looked in earlier years but hadn't found this shape.

Thanks msgood2shoe, I went through every catalog from the 1950's to current. The 5103 bowl is the only one I found with the correct shape. I know Blenko has taken a design and made it in multiple sizes and color in the past. I am assuming they did the same thing here, i just wish I could say it and be 100% positive.

Hi Josh - there's a Blenko Glass Collectors group on Facebook. It's a closed group but you can request access. They've always been friendly and helpful to me.
