40cm glass vase ID help

    Hi,

    I am hoping one of you lovely people can help me to identify this vase. Regardless of where it originated I think it's beautiful, it looks almost like a giant glazed cherry!

    What do the rings on the base mean? Does that mean handblown or mass produced? Most vases I own have a smooth pontil. Sorry I know that is probably very basic, but I learn best when I have something in my possession.

    It's heavy and quite tall at 40cm.
