Featured 50's blue plastic necklace

    I was just getting ready to donate this, and noticed the clasp was a little better than average, then noticed it was marked "Sterling".

    Not enough sterling to have much value per say, but wondered if these type of plastic beads had a name. Just wanted to research a bit more before setting in the to-go pile. Hand knotted in between the beads, but definitely plastic. Do beads like this (sort of a "moonstone" effect) have a name that anyone knows of? Thanks!
