Vintage 7" Gas Fixture or Light Fixture Globe. Dimensions are about 3 1/2" bigger end and around 3/4" at the smaller end and is around 7" long. I would like some assistance in determining whether this is a gas light or electric light fixture globe? How old in decades would you think this is? Do you know the pattern or company name? Thank you for assistance in this request. Rob

Candle holder. Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384960012009

They would sit in some kind of base or bracket. Votive Peg Cups search terms turn up a bunch of different styles on ebay.

Thank you for the information. Candle holder. Really fascinating. Wow, I was way off thinking it was a natural gas wall light globe or an electric pendulum. Thank you. Rob

Yep, like others stated. That rubber grommet usually is put into a wall sconce and a candle is put inside the glass. Probably not anywhere near old
