The 3 should be inside a Mexican Eagle mark (aka a bell to the uninitiated , but isn't. Is the other a weevil?

The 3 mark doesn't seem to have the right shape (too oblong-y?) to be the Mexican eagle. To me, it looks more like an amphora. But I could be completely wrong, as the mark might look different in the pic than in real life, and the marks were too small and/or my eyesight is too bad to be able to see with my own eyes how they actually looked.:(
Absolutely no idea what the other mark is.

It doesn't look Mexican to me either. Central European somewhere would be a better fit.

    Someone actually does (no guessing).:playful:
On the left the Dutch cursive script I (inlands) mark for silver below legal fineness, and on the right a Dutch mark for appendages (aanhangsels), in this case the safety chain. The 3 stands for the weight in grams (of the chain).

Even knowing what I should be seeing there on the left, I'm still not seeing it

And is that 3 inside an image of something? Is it the double sword?

It is the second one from the right, only a different weight:

Looking at it again, it could be the old Dutch cursive script V (vreemd) mark for foreign silver. Did it have an 800 mark somewhere? If so, it could have been imported from Germany, back in the day.

But it would be strange that a foreign made and marked item is also punched with the 'aanhangsel' mark for Dutch made silver. So back to the cursive script I?

Probably the price tag$$$. Silver scrap right now is at a great price if you're selling, but $tupidly high if you aren't used to retail.

Too small and $illy money = "nahhh, leave it for the next guy" for me too. If I find one for 10% of melt, it goes home no matter what.

That is essential information, because it means it isn't Dutch.
Given the style/technique, it is likely German.
