Featured 800 silver candelabra

Picked this up fairly recently. Marked 800 silver with marks for Hazorfim Ltd. Looks like they have only been in business since 1952. Odd construction. Hollow but not weighted. Maybe weights are missing? Better than scrap?

Usually I associate that name with Judaica . I wouldn't scrap it; it's worth too much as a candlestick. I just wish there was a pair; a modern sterling pair would be thousands. If it was a sterling menorah, i.e. held nine small candles, it would be even better. The silver fineness tells me it could be an old one. Modern ones are sterling.

Nice find! I would definitely try selling as it is before scraping, but I'm an optimist like that.

 

That looks vaguely Rococo . I wouldnt scrap it . The pair of 800 sticks I have has lead on the bottom of one . I bet yours did too at some point.

 

Very popular late 19th design, much better than scrap. Etsy link doesn’t show real bottom. Keep or sell. Good find imo
