9” Delftware Plate Ir Shallow Bowl

    I’m reasonably okay with identifying most pottery and porcelains but have little experience with this type of ware.

    I wonder if it might be an English 18th century piece of delftware.

    English Delft - not so shiny - Dutch delft usually quite shiny due to clear overglaze

    Thanks but are you saying this is shinier than English delft excuse me if I’ve misread you.

    Not commenting on piece John, just a general FYI on galliwares

    Great. This is much less shiny than the two Dutch pieces that I bought recently so I feel fairly confident that it is English.
