a Chinese statue and some tribal vase. any idea?

    i also have the feeling its new. any method to identify whether its old or not

    Not that I know of other than to say.....it doesn't have that old african design look to it.

    The statue with that beard and headdress looks like one of the Mongol Khan emperors such as Genghis or Kublai Khan. Are there any marks, Chinese characters, on the statue? A pic of the bottom of the statue might help in determining a timeframe.

    I'm seeing a very rough seam down the side of the figure and it's plinth.Usually not a sign of good quality. Is it metal or ceramic or resin? Need to see the base really.

    Last pot thing would date from late 20th C. IMO, simply because I've never seen one of that type which was thought to be antique. Yes bubbles almost always mean epoxy. The first item is late 20th C. at earliest, because that particular style wasn't around before then.

    so at springfld.arsenal in your opinion both the statue and pot are from late 20th century. is it correct. yeah actually the one who gave me said its terra cotta. I mean the pot, but i dont know how to identify terra cotta??
