A Couple Small Treen Boxes, 1 Older, 1 A Bit Newer

    "I've got a few old ones", @Bronwen; here are 2 of them:

    Plenty old, but true age unknown: ~2 3/4" max diameter, ~1 3/4" high, ~2 1/4 inside diameter; weight 2.3 oz. Those vertical checks are old & stable.

    And from the mid-90's, Astoria, Oregon:
    ~2 1/4" diameter, ~1" high (very slightly domed cover), 1 3/4" inside diameter; weight ~3/4 oz.

    I won't guess at wood species...

    Several of the others are Asian, and mostly finished. More pics when I get time.

    The older one, I suppose, could have been purposed/used for that. The Astoria box was in an Art Gallery, along with many others by the same artisan, hot off the lathe in 1995 or so.
