This is a $2 thrift shop composite artwork that I couldn't resist.
The more I looked at it the more impressed I was at the skill required to make it.
It seems to have everything from small twigs and branches for fence posts to green scourer pad material for the trees leaves. The bird sitting on the post appears to have human hair for its legs and I'm not sure what it uses for the even finer white feathers on its tail.
Someone went to a lot of effort to do this.

    Main picture area size 17cm x 12cm (6.7” x 4.7”)

    Cheers
    Stephen

First step, remove it from frame. (If you haven't already done so.)

Or horse hair, which is usually used.

Did that. No sigs and it is done on the same board the support is on. Think the board is MDF which hasn't been around for more than a decade or so giving a recent date for creation.

MDF has been around for a lot longer than 10 years.

    (googling)

large scale production began in the 1980s

I would have sworn even earlier, but I'll go with Wikipedia. :hilarious:
