Friends!!

I sold a dolly for better than I had hoped so I bought an eBay lot which claimed it had a **marcasite** ring in it. And some silver bangles. Am Weak for silver bangles.
It had gone through eBay for a week and this was its' second time,was cheaper this time.


Even dopey ole me didn't think they were marcasites. I asked a Q and she said it was 9 carat gold.

I had more money than I thought I'd have due to dolly sale so went for it,I was only bidder. It wasn't cheap but wasn't 'spensive,either

Anyway she came and my diamond tester says they are diamonds and the ring says 18ct.
I love rings,they are my fave Thing maybe even more than ole Sinders and this is now my utter fave of all time.

Bangles are lovely, one's a bit banged up,will straighten her and all three had broken or missing chains. Have fixed the one and have replacement chains coming for the others.

I just LOVE her.







There's nothing wrong with the ring IRL, in pics looks not as divine as she actually IS.

She has silver around the stones which is to be expected,I think?

Thank you Judy...the doll was a Peggy Nisbet "Eleanor Of Castile."
I got her and three others from eBay the week before for less than £4 the lot described as merely *small vintage dolls*.
I couldn't quite see which dollies they were but could see they were Nisbets. So I gambled
Eleanor Of Castile is very rare.
Thankfully Nisbets aren't my thing so was happy to see her off!
I was expecting about £75 but I managed to get £100. I didn't spend all that sum on my new ring so still have some left to spend,will probably be on Sindy xxx

I've heard the name, but unfamiliar with Nisbet dolls.

I must google.........later.......too early here.....6 a.m.

I think I should be checking out ebay like the rest of you do. The gambles seem to pay........

 

Mostly they pay but can't be lucky 100% of the time xx

Didn't think of that...I love her anyway. I only have one ring ( of a fair few :O ) which has platinum in it, and that's only around the diamonds. Was my parents' engagement ring ​
