    Good Evening Everyone,

I have some free time tonight, so I figured I'd make a few posts. I managed to purchase this item today, it was originally listed as silverplate, and admittedly I gambled on it since I actually couldn't decipher the marks before I bought it (in hindsight now that i've seen the marks, it's easier to see in the original photo). I was actually expecting it to be larger, but I'm not complaining at all since:

    1. It was listed as silverplate and priced accordingly
    2. It's still got a nice weight

Does anyone want to mention the country of origin and the year for those who might not know how to look it up?

I wasn't sure where it came from but those three crowns give the game away for sure. Silveplate my foot!

Not seeing the country of origin, but if the importer's mark is 'ABH', would think from Danish maker Bernhard Hertz's Copenhagen shop and sent to his Stockholm shop, though I've not seen Hertz's Swedish 'ABH' mark in that font...

Oh Cheryl, I was more simply attributing the three crowns to a country of origin...once again your knowledge base surpasses ours ;)

I did find another ABH mark on a different piece:

That 'ABH' is a typical Swedish Bernhard Hertz mark, the trefoil 'cat's paw' indicating Swedish production (Finnish, 1959 - seriously?!?).

Coffee rather than tea, I'd have thought. Or it would be here. Lovely thing.
