Picked this up today at a sale and have no idea what it is. It is made of steel.

The legs fold down and meet in the center, not quite flat, for storage I guess. it measures 10-3/8" (264mm) across the circle; the legs are 7-3/4" (196mm) overall.

On each of the four sides it says "Patented May 5 – 23", "Everedy" in a rectangle and "Made in U.S.A." all in block letters. A shame it doesn't have the patent number on it :(

Someone suggested it maybe hooked onto the lip of a large pot and then you place a smaller pot into it, kind of like a double boiler. I Googled and found a lot of listings for bottle capers, covered metal cake holders, blow torched, cookware and metal kitchen canisters.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Dave Van Ronk & The Hudson Dusters. I still have their albums from the long ago time when record players were a thing.

Or perhaps the Ragtime Jug Stompers....both good albums. Dave Van Ronk was one of my faves, I have all his recordings, and got to see him in person once.

I thought recognized him though I have never seen a single album anywhere and I’ve been through tens of thousands of them.

He was supposed to come to Cape Cod a few years ago. I bought a ticket and then he canceled. :(

He had some health issues in his later years; I was glad I got to see him, not long before his death in 2002. He was a major influence on my own guitar style, and I owe him a lot. He's not as well-known as he should be, but in addition to the influence of his guitar style on many other performers, he was a mentor to many aspiring musicians in their early years. Among others, he introduced Bob Dylan to the music scene in Greenwich Village.
