    Hi again everyone,

I struck out again today for some hunting in nowhereville USA. I came across this sterling mirror sans the mirror. I'm not sure if the store realized it was sterling, but they priced it at $15. I thought it was a good deal considering the whole thing is sterling; it has a hollow handle so no weighting. I'm not sure yet if it will go into my scrap pile or maybe I get a replacement mirror??

Thank komokwa, to be fair, it was very tarnished when I found it. I probably spent about three minutes scanning over it before I found the mark. I love the little sneaky marks, but yes now that it's polished up it seems too obvious to miss.

    It's too pretty to scrap.
I would try to put a mirror in it.
Or, I'm the type to put a really weird picture in it and leave it in a guest room, face down, just for laughs.;)

Id have to put a mirror in that lovely thing. You wouldnt get much more than you paid in scrap I would think, and the design is wonderful so why not ? :)

Out of my realm, but I'd have a really tough time sending that to the scrapyard. Love those leafy scrolls.

I scrap a lot of silver, but that's too nice to melt. I might try putting a photograph in there instead of another mirror. Getting one cut to fit that shape would be difficult. It would make a heckuva photo frame though.

Classy mirror Nate, a real beauty, with gorgeous scrollwork. Whatever you put in it, it is the back that counts.:)
If you do put something in, will you show us the result?
